There is something for everyone to see.

The Denver Zoo is magnificently arranged, with enclosures designed for the Polar Bears' den to the island of monkeys, with various animals. Management has a long-term strategy to substitute and modernize exhibitions. Today, the zoo is one of the most popular attractions in Denver.

A classic State Capitol, which is topped by a golden dome 250 foot wide, is situated on a low hill on the East side of the Civic Center Park. There are great views across the spectacular skyline and the Front Range from the sighting platform at the bath of the dome. The thirteenth step on the western section of the Capitol is precisely one mile above sea level, thus giving the name "mile high city" to Denver.

April through May and September through October is the best times to visit Denver. The city's shoulder seasons have a comfortable atmosphere, fewer visitors and a lower price than the high season in summer. The bulk of Denver tourists are expected in warm and dry conditions between June and August.
